Sunday morning Adult Bible Study was reading through Genesis. This is your opportunity to explore the details and themes of the first book of the Bible. All levels of background are welcome. The class is lecture based with some audience participation. Each class is designed to be complete on its own, so please feel free to come when you are available. The last study for this season was April 30. Keep an eye out for future Bible Study dates!

If you are interested, the summer sermon series is on the Book of Genesis as well. Both the spring lectures and the summer sermons will be available on the FPC App which is available from the App store. Search 'First Presbyterian Fargo' and select the app option with the PCUSA logo.

Men's Bible Study

The Men's Bible Study Retreat is scheduled for October 6-7th in Detroit Lakes, MN. All men of the church are invited. The retreat is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow men at First Presbyterian and learn about God's message for men.
The University of Jamestown's Dr. Stephen Reed has enthusiastically agreed to return to lead the retreat, after spending last fall at Norway's University of Agder updating lists of photos of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Dr. Reed plans to focus this year's retreat study on the Biblical patriarch Jacob.
If you would like more information regarding booking a room at the Country Inn & Suites, please contact Bruce Maylath.

The men’s Bible study begins its fall bible study on Tuesday, October 10th at 6:45 a.m., in the Jennie Roberts Room. Pastries and coffee will be served. Intended to help men understand what the Bible says in relation to what is expected of a Christian man, last year's study covered the book of Job. No advance preparation is required for each month’s study.

Presbyterian Women

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, Presbyterian Women commit to nurturing our faith through prayer and Bible study, supporting the mission of the church worldwide, working for justice and peace, and building an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom. Our upcoming bible study is titled Sacred Encounters: The Power and Presence of Jesus Christ in Luke-Acts. Won’t you consider joining us in person?
An introduction to the bible study was held on September 12th at 1:00pm in the Jennie Roberts Room, and led by Rev. Mary Holtey. Information regarding Circle meetings will be posted once available. All women of the church are invited to attend. If you are interested or have any questions, please call Jan Kenien at (701) 280-2391, or complete the request below.

The Pilgrimage

The Pilgrimage is an adult faith formation ministry which equips disciples of Jesus Christ to grow deeply in relationship with the living and present Lord.  The Pilgrimage gives you the tools and teaches you the disciplines needed to grow as a disciple of Jesus.  This is accomplished in several ways: through inspiring programs and education, support within a small-group ministry, and regular opportunities to travel to sacred sites for those who have completed pre-requisites. Those who commit to The Pilgrimage are making a commitment to a process of faith-formation which promises a deeper transformation and a richer experience of faith.
