uPcoming Events at first presbyterian fargo

Autumn is an exciting time at FPC-Fargo. Check out all of our wonderful opportunities.

Pastor Mary will lead a two-part class on “Praying our Goodbyes” as she approaches retirement. This class will explore the significance of goodbyes throughout life, emphasizing God's presence during these transitions. Classes will be held on Thursdays, November 13 and 20, from 6:00-7:30 PM. Sponsored by the Pilgrimage Program, all are welcome.
During worship on Sunday, November 16, we will name and recognize those church members who have died this past year. There will be an opportunity during the service for family members to come forward to the chancel area to light a candle in remembrance of loved ones. All are invited to participate in this meaningful time to remember either recent losses or saints who have gone before us.
Together we create peace by making room for every neighbor—addressing hunger, homelessness, and the call to belong. Building on last year’s call to create community in a chaotic world, this year’s Peace in Pandemonium summit invites us to take the next step—Making Room at the Table. We’ll explore what it means to live peace through radical hospitality, shared sustenance, and compassionate action. Join us on Saturday, November 15 for a day of reflection, story, and solidarity as we confront hunger and homelessness with courage and care. Be part of a community where everyone is seen, valued, and welcomed. Tickets are free! Find more information about the event on Facebook & Eventbrite.
Centering Prayer has begun again, and will meet weekly on Thursdays from 12:15-12:50pm in the Jennie Roberts Room. Join the group for a time of silent prayer followed by a brief devotion. Come and find a moment of stillness in your day.
Co-sponsored by The Presentation Prayer Center and The Pilgrimage at FPC.
The next Taizé evening prayer service will be at 5:30pm on Thursday, November 6, in the Jennie Roberts Room. This special, meditative service, rooted in scripture, singing, and prayerful silence, is sponsored by the Presentation Prayer Center, who hold their own Taizé prayer service at Riverview Place on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, also at 6:30pm.
