Sunday Mornings:

Where to Park

On Sunday, parking is available on the street and in our west and east parking lots. Not all of the spots in the east parking lot are ours. The church spots are clearly marked. If those are full, the Roberts Commons Parking Garage is a block and a half away, just kitty corner from our east parking lot. Parking is free on the weekends. During the week, street parking is anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours depending on the block. The east parking lot is rented out. The west parking lot is available for free if you are on church business. If our parking lot happens to be full, the first two hours at the Roberts Commons Parking Garage is free.

Where to Enter

First Presbyterian has two places to enter on Sunday mornings. We have our wooden sanctuary doors that are on 2nd Ave N and the West Foyer Doors by our parking lot. During the week, our doors are locked, but you can use the doorbell at the West Doors to be let in.

Accessibility

Our facilities are wheelchair accessible. There are handicap parking spots in the west parking lot near the accessible West Foyer Doors. Inside, you will find an elevator that provides access to different levels of the church. For those who are visually impaired, there are large print hymns available for each service. For those who are hearing impaired, we have hearing devices that are available at the welcome desk.

Welcome Center

Just inside the West Doors, you will see a desk that says “Welcome!” There is an elder or deacon at the desk ready to answer any of your questions. You can also find more information about our church and the ministries of First Presbyterian.

What to Expect

A typical service will last about 60 minutes with communion celebrated on the first Sunday of the month. All are welcome at our communion table and we offer a gluten free option! Almost every service has special music provided by one of our three choirs, one of our two bell choirs, our brass group, or guest soloists. We have a marvelous pipe organ that leads us in hymn singing. There are worship bags available for kids in worship.

Nursery

The nursery is available for birth to 3-year-olds during the Sunday School hour and the 10:30 worship hour. Our nursery has age-appropriate books, music and toys. Nursery attendants are highly qualified! You can rest easy knowing that your children are in good care while you participate in church programming.

What do I Wear?

Our congregation is made up of folks of many ages and different backgrounds. Some people wear jeans; some people wear business casual. Wear what makes you feel comfortable! We are glad you are here!
